The main reason to visit Agra is the iconic monument of the Taj Mahal, the mausoleum constructed by the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan to houes his wife. The same town is home to the famous Agra Fort, from where the barbarian invaders that arrived from the plains of the north exercised their power in the 16th century.
“The hotels were all excellent international hotels, we thought the excursions were well thought out and loved the chaotic train journeys.
We thought our guide Yazz was very knowledgeable about his country and the customs and was flexible with peoples requests.
Luckily for us, we did see a tiger in the National park which we didn't really expect to thanks to the local guide.”
“We would like to Congratulate you on an amazing trip!!! We thought the organisation was fantastic and at no time were we let down! The agents on route were always there to meet us and our driver was always on time.”
“The three hotels we stayed at were first class. Staff at all of them brilliant. Our guides and transport good. We liked southern India a lot more than the North. We learnt a lot of new things and customs”
“Our time at Ranthambore was excellent, in that we saw a tiger on the morning safari. Some beautiful pictures were taken.”
“‘I have no hesitation in recommending both Exoticca Travel and Indian Routes to anyone who wants to see and experience the real India. Our hotels were great and offered and eclectic menu to satisfy the most discerning clientele. The luxury of the hotels was to be savoured in the evenings but a world away from everyday India.’
