One of the most important places in Prague, This was the site where, in 1989, the Velvet Revolution took place and where the fall of communism occurred, for which reason many marches and demonstrations still take place here today. The National Museum of Prague is also located in one of the corners of the square, alongside a great many restaurants, bars and shops, making this one of the liveliest areas of the city.
