Arrive at your UK departure airport, ready to board a flight to Cairo. Transfer to the hotel and spend the rest of the evening discovering this bustling centre of Egyptian culture and tradition. Be sure not to miss the fabulous street food and shisha bars for an authentic taste of Egypt. Overnight stay.

Breakfast at the hotel. At the indicated time, transfer to Cairo airport, to take a flight to Aswan. Arrive at Aswan airport, and head off on a visit to the Red Granite Quarries, where the Unfinished Obelisk and the Great Aswan Dam are located. Take a walk along the river to admire the traditional fishing boats, called "faluccas". Transfer to the port where you will board the boat and check-in to your cabin. Lunch & Dinner on board.
Full board. Set sail towards Kom Ombo. On arrival enjoy a visit to a special temple dedicated to two gods: Haroeris, who had the head of a hawk and Sobek, with the head of a crocodile and known as the god of fertility. Discover the sacred Nilometer, an artefact used by the ancient Egyptians to measure the level of the Nile waters. After the visit, return to the ship. Night on board as you continue on the Nile towards Edfu.
Full board. Dock in Edfu and visit the Edfu Temple. The Temple is dedicated to the god Hawk and is the best preserved in Egypt aswell as being the second largest in the country. Sail towards Luxor, and cross the impressive Esna lock. Once you have docked, discover the temples of Karnak and Luxor, which constitute the most important monumental complex in Egypt, built over two thousand years and a real treat for anyone interested in the ancient history of this region. Return to the ship and night on board.

In the morning, visit the Necropolis of Thebes which includes the famous Valley of the Kings as well as the fascinating Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, the temple of Medinet Habu of Ramés III and the Colossi of Memnos, who guarded the entrance to the funerary temple of King Amenophis III. Transfer by road to Hurghada and enjoy the scenic landscape before arriving at your hotel. Hurghada is home to beautiful beaches, luxurious resorts and a stunning coral reef. Overnight stay.
