It is a block of marble with columns weighing 40 tonnes and is reached by a long street with lion statues on the avenues and a plaza in the middle. Also explore the Hittite Museum, which contains many relics from the Hittite era. Lunch at a local restaurant. Continue your journey towards Cappadocia. En route, visit the impressive salt lake Tuz. Breakfast at the hotel. Depart to Konya, the capital of the Turkish Sultanate of Rum, and on the way visit a Kervansaray, an ancient Silk Road fortification. Arrive in Konya and visit the Monastery of the Dervishes founded by Mevlana Rumi, the mystic poet and philosopher. Continue your journey until you reach Pamukkale, where the high calcareous concentration of its waters has created one of the most spectacular land formations in the world. Transfer to the hotel, dinner and overnight in Pamukkale.
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit Hierapolis, an ancient Hellenistic city. See the famous Cotton Castle of Pamukkale, a natural wonder of gigantic white waterfalls, stalactites and natural pools formed over centuries by the passage of waters laden with calcareous salts from thermal springs. Transfer to Ephesus, the most well preserved ancient city of Asia Minor. Visit the Temple of Hadrian, the Roman Baths, the Library, the Odeon and the Theater. Continue by road to the Izmir Region.
